There was a good turn out of senior men today (National Creamsicle Day). There was a 3 way tie for low gross (Don Fernald, Glen Swire & Geoff Ingham) but unfortunately all these gentlemen had to be disqualified since their score card was not properly attested. Low net winner Geoff Brock was also disqualified for this reason. Closest to the pin on # 2 was won by Glen Swire (7 feet) and closest to the pin with his 2nd shot on # 7 was Ariff Wakani (11 feet). Geoff Ingham hit a good tee shot for closest to the pin on # 9. The highlight of the day occurred on the 9th fairway when a disoriented young groundhog decided to run directly at Ron Watson. Another interesting incident occurred at the Fernald cottage where the group gathered for 10th hole refreshments. Roy Skelton ended up on the ground after his lawn chair disintegrated under him.
