Application for Monthly Rental or Rent-free Use of a Dwelling

Whether or not rent is to be paid, a Property Owner must submit this Application Form to the Club together with the required fee and receive approval prior to permitting his or her dwelling to be used by anyone without the Member present. Unless requested by the Chair of the Membership Committee, no Application or fee is required for rent-free use granted for less than seven days during any 12-month period.

  • No dwelling is to be rented unless the lease is for at least one month.
  • Seasonal residences shall not be rented during the off-season (November 1st to May 1st of the following year) and shall not be granted rent-free use in excess of six days during the off- season. (i.e. a Member’s 60 days of off-season use privilege cannot be transferred to or used by another Member).

The Applicant hereby applies for approval to use the above-named property for the period indicated above. The Applicant agrees to abide by and be bound by rules, regulations and directions established from time to time by the Club. The Applicant understands that a Cedar Springs property may not be used to operate a business, be occupied by more than one family or be sublet or loaned to anyone during the period of tenancy. The Applicant understands that acceptance for use is conditional upon successful review by the Membership Committee, acceptance on behalf of the Board of Directors and additional terms and conditions which the Club may require in consideration of granting approval.

Make application fee payable to Cedar Springs Community Club:
(a) for any one rental agreement, $200 (plus HST);
(b) for non-shareholder rent-free use, $25.00 (plus HST) per seven days; or
(c) for Member rent-free use, no charge.

NOTE: PROPERTY OWNER ACKNOWLEDGES FULL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY FEES AND FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO COMMUNITY PROPERTY BY APPLICANT(S).
